About The SRA
The Sustainable Restaurant Association: For people and planet
Too Good To Waste was launched by The Sustainable Restaurant Association in 2011. The SRA is a not-for-profit membership organisation helping restaurants become more sustainable and diners make more sustainable choices when eating out. We assist our member restaurants to source food more sustainably, manage resources more efficiently and meet their social responsibilities.
The SRA Sustainability Rating system means diners can choose a restaurant that matches their values. We recognise the best restaurants as One, Two or Three Star Sustainability Champions depending on how they rate against a wide range of criteria covering 14 areas of sustainability.
With the aid of our Advisory Board, comprised of leading industry figures and sustainability experts, we inform members on a wide range of issues across Sourcing, Environment and Society. We also help keep sustainability on the news agenda at a local and national level.
Diners too, have a huge part to play as restaurants respond to customer demand. Make the most of your purchasing power and help get action taken on the issues that matter to you! Become a Friend of the SRA: ‘Like’ our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and join our mailing list to receive our monthly newsletter. And don’t forget, ask for a doggy box!
